Teamleiter Export / Zoll & Außenwirtschaft (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization seeking a Team Leader for Export, Customs & Foreign Trade to join their operations in Munich. In this role, you will combine leadership responsibility with hands-on operational involvement.

• Lead, motivate, and develop the export team as a subject matter expert and daily point of contact for operational questions
• Actively participate in export and customs processing operations alongside your team
• Ensure timely and high-quality execution of all export orders
• Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on customs and foreign trade matters, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
• Analyze and optimize existing export and customs processes, developing standards, work instructions, and documentation
• Contribute to cross-functional projects
• Monitor legislative changes in export and customs law and implement necessary measures

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or training (e.g., industrial clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or comparable qualification)
• Several years of practical experience in export and customs operations with solid knowledge of customs law, preferential rules, and foreign trade law
• Multiple years of experience in leading teams with a structured, motivating, and hands-on approach
• Knowledge of hazardous goods regulations (ADR, IATA, IMDG) is desirable
• Fluent German and very good English language skills, both written and spoken
• Strong communicator with a responsible, team-oriented mindset and a structured, pragmatic working style
