About This Opportunity

We are representing a growing organization that needs an experienced Accountant to take ownership of accounts receivable, invoicing, payment tracking, and financial operations. This is a fully remote position working U.S. business hours from Honduras.

This goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. Our client seeks someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with operational ownership and a process-improvement mindset. You'll maintain accurate financial records while helping modernize and streamline accounting systems.

Responsibilities

You will own the full accounts receivable and invoicing cycle:

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices on schedule
• Manage accounts receivable and payment follow-ups
• Monitor aging reports and outstanding balances
• Track overdue accounts and support collection efforts
• Confirm incoming payments and maintain transaction records
• Support healthy cash flow through proactive tracking

Your financial operations responsibilities include:

• Monitor cash flow activity and payment schedules
• Track incoming and outgoing transactions
• Maintain financial trackers and operational reports
• Provide leadership with visibility into cash position, upcoming payments, and outstanding receivables
• Identify discrepancies or unusual activity and escalate appropriately

You will also drive accounting system improvements:

• Work extensively within QuickBooks and related financial systems
• Support migration to modern accounting platforms when required
• Identify inefficient or repetitive workflows and improve them
• Build scalable accounting SOPs and processes
• Prepare financial summaries and operational reports
• Ensure documentation remains clean and audit-ready
• Leverage automation and AI tools to improve efficiency

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting or financial operations experience
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks, accounts receivable, invoicing, payment tracking, and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience with digital banking platforms and payment processing systems
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Availability during U.S. business hours

Preferred experience:

• Accounting system migrations
• Automation or AI-assisted accounting workflows
• Startup or high-growth company experience
• Treasury operations or cash forecasting
• Developing or improving accounting SOPs
