Senior Data Analyst

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential insurtech organization expanding rapidly across multiple European markets. They need a Senior Data Analyst to join their Claims team in Manchester and drive analytical excellence as the business scales.

This is a hybrid role where you'll establish data standards, build dashboards for senior stakeholders, and play a key part in shaping the analytics function. You'll work with large datasets to translate complex structures into clear business insights that fuel strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical owner for the analytics team, establishing standards for data warehousing architecture, data modelling, and data quality to ensure a single source of truth
• Build and scale the analytics team by providing input on required capabilities and target personnel as the organization grows
• Define strategic metrics and KPIs for dashboards and analysis, making complex data accessible and actionable for business stakeholders
• Create live dashboards and conduct deep-dive analysis to support the Claims function
• Present findings to senior stakeholders across the business
• Ensure robust analytics processes that support rapid business growth

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years proven experience in data analytics or data science, including building live dashboards
• Experience leading a team of data scientists or analysts
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Tableau
• Experience working in the Databricks environment
• Comfortable operating in a growing, scale-up business environment
• Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate findings into business recommendations
