About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clean energy technology company in their search for a founding Product Designer. Our client is building software infrastructure that manages energy assets at scale, and they need a design leader to establish design as a core pillar of their product development process.

This is a rare opportunity to be the first designer at a well-funded, rapidly growing organization where you'll shape design culture, processes, and output across consumer and enterprise products. You'll work within small, autonomous teams of engineers and product managers, bringing the user voice to strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design for both consumer-facing and B2B solutions, from user research through to final delivery
• Establish design systems and processes that enable teams to ship high-quality experiences efficiently
• Drive user research initiatives to deeply understand how customers interact with complex energy products
• Own the company's visual identity and external brand presence across web, animation, and video
• Collaborate with global clients to enhance their user experiences
• Build design capability across the organization through coaching and enablement
• Work in a hybrid environment with 2-3 days per week in the London office

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience designing products that bring sophisticated technology to broader audiences
• Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent visual design skills and understanding of user-centered design
• Comfort with ambiguity and a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work across both consumer and business products
• Willingness to engage with technical details to create better solutions
• Deep curiosity about how people experience products and services
• Experience establishing design systems and scalable design processes
• Strong aesthetic sense with clear understanding of quality design
