Finance and Accounting Intern

We are representing a confidential AI-powered trading organization in Berlin that is transforming how industrial materials move across European markets. Our client operates at significant scale across multiple countries and has recently secured institutional backing to expand their finance and operations functions.

We're seeking a Finance and Accounting Intern to support their growing finance team during a period of rapid expansion. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations within a fast-scaling technology-enabled business.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Support financial analysis by gathering and analyzing data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
• Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices, payments, and receipts
• Assist in tax filing preparation and compliance activities, including documentation gathering and form completion
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including growth, operations, and technology on financial projects and initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a Bachelor's or Master's program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Excellent English and German language skills required
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful insights
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in team environments
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
