Senior Product Manager, AI and Endpoint

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Senior Product Manager to own endpoint agent development and AI usage control capabilities. This is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for product strategy across a critical platform component that runs on hundreds of thousands of enterprise endpoints globally.

Our client operates at the intersection of insider risk management, data loss prevention, and workforce intelligence. The endpoint agent you will own is a core competitive differentiator—capturing behavioral signals across Windows, macOS, and Linux that power detection, enforcement, and analytics capabilities their enterprise customers depend on.

Responsibilities

You will own the complete product lifecycle for the endpoint agent platform and AI usage control layer:

• Cross-platform agent roadmap: Define and prioritize what ships across Windows, macOS, and Linux, balancing customer requirements, platform modernization, performance optimization, and security hardening
• AI usage control architecture: Build endpoint-layer detection for AI activity that never touches the network—native desktop clients, IDE-embedded assistants, terminal-based coding agents, AI-native browsers, and local models running offline
• Enterprise deployment requirements: Ensure the agent remains invisible to end users, resistant to tampering, and reliable in complex enterprise environments
• Performance and reliability standards: Own CPU utilization, memory footprint, battery impact, and crash rate metrics that directly affect customer satisfaction
• Product KPIs and measurement: Define and track adoption velocity, deployment success rates, detection coverage, and time-to-patch on OS updates
• Technical translation: Convert business requirements from executives, sales, and customers into coherent engineering roadmaps and technical specifications
• Ecosystem relationships: Represent the product in technical conversations with platform vendors, MDM providers, and security ecosystem partners

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning a technical platform, SDK, agent, or systems-level product
• Deep technical understanding of operating system architecture—you should reason credibly about Windows internals, macOS system extensions, or Linux kernel interactions in design reviews
• Knowledge of how AI runs on endpoints: understanding the difference between hosted models in browsers, native desktop clients, IDE-embedded assistants, CLI agents, and local models, and why each presents unique detection challenges
• Background shipping endpoint security tools (EDR, EPP, XDR), monitoring agents, management software, or other systems-level products
• Outcome-oriented mindset: you measure success in deployment velocity and reliability metrics, not feature counts
• Experience with security trade-offs: visibility vs. privacy, tamper protection vs. usability, cloud vs. on-device processing
• Hands-on AI usage in your own workflow for prototyping and evaluation
• Strong written communication: PRDs, decision documents, prioritization frameworks, and engineering-facing specifications

Preferred background:

• Prior engineering experience in systems, kernel, driver, or low-level platform work
• Familiarity with Windows Filter Drivers, Minifilters, or WFP; macOS Endpoint Security or Network Extensions; Linux eBPF or kernel modules
• Experience with MDM ecosystems such as Jamf, Intune, Workspace ONE, or Kandji
• Knowledge of insider risk, DLP, or behavioral analytics products
• Understanding of local model runtimes and on-device inference frameworks
• Experience with agentic AI, tool calling, or autonomous coding agents
• Background in AI governance, AI security, or shadow AI discovery
• Experience managing EDR and AV co-existence at enterprise scale
