Financial Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded AI technology company in their search for a Financial Analyst to join their London office. Our client is a fast-growing organization working with enterprise customers across multiple sectors, and they need someone to own the operational heart of their finance function.

This role offers genuine ownership early in your career. You'll manage the full cycle of financial operations—from supplier payments and customer invoicing to month-end reconciliations—while partnering closely with cross-functional teams. Where processes are manual or unclear, you'll have the authority and support to improve them.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, VAT returns, and accounts receivable
• Process employee expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies
• Oversee client invoicing and manage billing workflows
• Assist with month-end close procedures, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Collaborate on ad-hoc finance and operational projects as they arise
• Identify and implement process improvements to help finance systems scale with business growth

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
• 1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role
• Solid foundational knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and invoicing
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software and financial tools
• Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Tech or startup experience is a plus, but not required
• Someone who takes ownership seriously and views accurate financial operations as the foundation for informed decision-making
• A builder mentality—you look for better ways to do things rather than accepting manual processes as the status quo
