Responsibilities
Our client, a confidential policy research and consulting organization, is seeking an experienced consultant to support evidence-based policy advisory work in higher education and skills development. In this role, you will:
- Provide science-based consulting to public institutions with a focus on analysis, evaluation, monitoring, strategy development, and implementation of policy measures
- Prepare audience-appropriate reports and presentations based on independent conceptual and empirical work, including data analysis, surveys, interviews, and focus groups
- Manage or lead projects, including team leadership and client contact
- Acquire new projects by developing proposals for existing and new client groups, and network with cooperation partners and relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues on policy instruments related to research transfer, university teaching and learning, internationalization, digitalization, and entrepreneurial skills development
What We're Looking For
We are representing our client in the search for a professional with the following qualifications:
- At least four years of relevant professional experience and project leadership experience in policy consulting and/or evaluation
- Experience acquiring consulting and commissioned research projects for public sector organizations
- Completed university degree in a relevant field with solid empirical research methods knowledge
- Team and communication skills, independence, and an analytical and reliable working style
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally
- Excellent German and English language skills; additional languages are an advantage
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office; knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis programs (especially R or Stata, but also Python, Atlas.ti, or similar) is advantageous
- Experience in policy consulting in adjacent fields such as research and innovation or regional policy/development is welcome
