About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential biopharmaceutical organization in their search for a Senior Manager, Training focused on neurology rare disease portfolios, specifically NMOSD (Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder) and gMG (generalized Myasthenia Gravis). This is a U.S.-based remote field training leadership role that requires approximately 30% travel.

In this position, you will lead learning and performance strategy for a specialized neurology sales force, directing new-hire onboarding, field learning programs, advanced training curriculum, and ongoing capability development aligned with business priorities. You will manage a team of two direct reports and partner closely with brand leadership, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to enable high-quality, compliant customer engagement across neuroimmunology and neuromuscular care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead learning and performance strategy and execution for rare disease neurology teams, including new hire onboarding, field learning, semester meetings, and advanced training initiatives
  • Partner with brand leadership to align learning strategies with business priorities and commercial objectives
  • Manage, coach, and develop learning and performance staff to deliver impactful curricula and build organizational talent
  • Collaborate across learning organizations and cross-functional partners to deliver integrated learning strategies while identifying and scaling best practices
  • Design and deliver training that equips field teams to engage neuroimmunologists, neuromuscular specialists, comprehensive neurology centers, infusion-site stakeholders, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Partner with sales leadership on proactive strategic approaches for field team development
  • Work with brand teams on semester meeting strategy, sustainment planning, and ongoing learning initiatives
  • Translate market and customer insights into compliant, actionable training that advances field capability

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements (one of the following):

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales training experience
  • Master's degree and 4 years of sales training experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of sales training experience
  • Associate's degree and 10 years of sales training experience
  • High school diploma/GED and 12 years of sales training experience

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience defining learning goals with internal clients and leading teams to timelines and financial targets
  • Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing sales or cross-functional teams in specialty biopharma environments
  • Prior specialty or rare disease field experience; experience in NMOSD, gMG, neuroimmunology, or neuromuscular disease highly desirable
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or training in rare disease neurology, preferably supporting biologic therapies and infusion-administered treatments
  • Experience working with sales, medical affairs, market access, patient services, regulatory, legal, compliance, and vendor management teams
  • Content development and instructional design experience
  • Strong clinical competence in rare disease neurology to model curricula including disease-state education, diagnostic pathways, treatment access, and patient management
  • Understanding of access and reimbursement environments, patient support services, and CRM data systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
