About This Role
We are representing a confidential technology client seeking a Senior C++/Qt Engineer with Python skills. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated desktop application development within an international engineering team.
Our client is building the next generation of their design orchestration platform—a critical entry point that integrates cloud and desktop services for technical users. You'll work with modern C++ and Qt frameworks while contributing to architectural modernization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the orchestrator application using C++ and Qt6 frameworks
- Build new desktop application features while integrating with existing codebases
- Participate in gradual modernization of legacy components
- Collaborate across the full software development lifecycle—requirements analysis, design, implementation, code review, and testing
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Python
- Work within an Agile/Scrum methodology alongside international team members
- Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Mid to Senior-level expertise in modern C++ (C++14/17), with deep understanding of memory management, polymorphism, and language fundamentals
- Proven experience building desktop applications using Qt6 (widgets and core framework) in Windows environments
- Python proficiency sufficient for writing automated tests
- Results-oriented mindset with ability to work autonomously
- English proficiency at B1/B2 level or higher
- Current authorization to work in the United States
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with the Boost library
- Familiarity with Googletest (gtest, gmock)
- Knowledge of PyWinAuto or similar test automation frameworks
- Experience with SVN version control
- Domain knowledge in electronics, EDA, or CAD systems
