About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential workforce development organization seeking an Overhead Lineman Instructor to join their team in the United States. This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled trades professionals while working with a well-established training provider.
In this role, you will deliver competency-based instruction, develop curriculum, and help students succeed in their career pathways within the electrical utilities sector.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction using competency-based and computer-assisted learning methods
- Maintain and update lesson plans to ensure relevance to industry standards and course objectives
- Create innovative, interactive training experiences that engage students and promote skill mastery
- Manage the classroom environment to support effective learning outcomes
- Coordinate with academic departments to integrate learning opportunities across programs
- Support students with job placement, credential attainment, and post-secondary education pathways
- Develop partnerships with industry employers to facilitate internships, work-based learning, and employment outcomes
- Monitor student progress through classroom observation and assessment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least two years of related experience in overhead linework or electrical utilities
- Certification in the vocational trade strongly preferred; must meet National Trade Council requirements (certified by a union, trade organization, or national trade certifying body)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, regulations, and professional materials
- Strong written communication skills for drafting reports, correspondence, and procedural documentation
- Competence with mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, and proportions
- Valid state driver's license recommended
- Passion for workforce development and helping students achieve career success
