About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential international higher education institution in Berlin that is seeking a Working Student to support their Career Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a current student to gain hands-on experience in career development, student engagement, and event coordination within a multicultural academic environment.
In this role, you will be a key support to the Careers team, helping students and recent graduates access employability resources, professional development programmes, and career opportunities. You will manage communications, coordinate workshops and employer events, and work with various stakeholders across the institution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for Career Services, guiding students and graduates on available support and resources
- Manage the Careers shared mailbox, responding to enquiries, directing queries appropriately, and ensuring timely follow-up
- Work with tasks assigned through Microsoft Planner, tracking deadlines and updating task status to ensure completion
- Act as an ambassador for the career platform used by the institution, encouraging student engagement with opportunities and resources
- Support preparation, coordination, and delivery of career workshops, webinars, and employability initiatives, including participant communication and attendance tracking
- Assist with organisation and delivery of employer events, career fairs, company visits, and networking activities on campus
- Create and distribute student-facing communications and promotional materials for career programmes and events
- Support programme administration including registrations, attendance records, feedback collection, and basic reporting
- Collaborate with colleagues across Campus Management, Marketing, Student Life, and other institutional teams
- Provide general administrative and operational support to Careers Advisors and contribute to ongoing projects
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled as a BA or MA-level student at the institution (must remain enrolled until at least April 2027)
- Excellent command of English (C2 level or equivalent) with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation and task-management skills with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously
- Previous experience using task-management or collaboration tools such as Microsoft Planner
- Comfortable working with Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Genuine interest in careers, employability, and professional development with understanding of employer expectations
- Strong intercultural communication skills and confidence working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Empathy and ability to communicate with students in an impartial, professional, and supportive manner
- Proactive mindset with ability to take ownership of tasks, ask questions when needed, and follow through to completion
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with student communications, registrations, data, and administrative processes
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable with ability to work independently and as part of a team
