In this role, you will serve as the analytical partner for a consumer-facing digital product, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Analytics Engineering teams to drive data-informed decisions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing customer behaviour and product performance across the full consumer lifecycle, from acquisition and activation through engagement, retention, churn and reactivation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve conversion, customer value and sustainable growth using funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation and behavioural analytics
  • Evaluating the performance of customer segments, markets, channels and product journeys to identify growth opportunities and commercial trade-offs
  • Supporting decisions that improve key business outcomes such as activation, conversion, repeat usage, retention, churn, customer lifetime value and revenue-related metrics
  • Conducting exploratory analysis to answer product and business questions, translating complex data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
  • Defining, monitoring and communicating core KPIs covering acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion, retention, churn and customer value
  • Designing, executing and analysing A/B tests and product experiments, assessing both customer impact and commercial impact
  • Building and maintaining dashboards and reporting that stakeholders actively use, proactively surfacing trends, anomalies, performance risks and growth opportunities
  • Helping Product Managers assess the expected impact of opportunities and evaluate whether product investments are delivering intended outcomes
  • Partnering with Analytics Engineering to ensure KPI definitions, business logic and product instrumentation are accurate, scalable and trusted
  • Exploring AI and machine learning techniques, including LLM-assisted analysis, to speed up insight generation and product measurement

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying, analysing and validating data in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or similar platforms
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics techniques including funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation and behavioural analysis
  • Understanding of commercial drivers of digital products, including customer acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, churn and customer lifetime value
  • Ability to connect customer behaviour and product performance to business outcomes, using data to identify growth opportunities and inform prioritisation
  • Experience working on A/B tests or product experiments, with solid grounding in the statistics behind them
  • Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI, with a track record of building dashboards that stakeholders actually use
  • Ability to translate ambiguous product or business questions into structured analysis and explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfort assessing trade-offs, challenging assumptions and making evidence-based recommendations
  • Curiosity about how AI and emerging techniques can improve product measurement, experimentation and commercial decision-making
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders, coupled with proactive communication
