Business Development Representative

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud security organization in their search for a Business Development Representative. Our client is a fast-growing company trusted by enterprise customers globally to secure cloud and AI applications. This role offers the chance to join a high-performing team in a rapidly expanding market.

As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a critical role in driving growth by prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales opportunities. You'll identify potential clients who need cloud security solutions and build a robust pipeline for the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research potential leads, engaging with prospects through cold calls, emails, and social media outreach to build a qualified pipeline
• Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and qualify leads based on their interest in cloud security solutions
• Work closely with Account Executives to align strategies and ensure smooth handoffs of qualified leads
• Maintain up-to-date information on all prospects and activities in your CRM (Salesforce), tracking outreach, meetings, and follow-ups
• Take full ownership of your sales pipeline, ensure timely follow-ups, and consistently meet or exceed targets and KPIs
• Demonstrate resilience and professionalism when navigating challenges and rejections, staying focused on long-term success

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a business development or sales role
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and as part of a team
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, processes, and technologies with a proactive, positive attitude
• Legal right to work in the United States without need for visa sponsorship (this role does not offer visa sponsorship)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud or security sales
• Understanding of effective sales processes and methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message
• Passion for sales and technology, with interest in cloud security and cybersecurity solutions
