About This Position

The Field Engineer role at NineStar Connect is critical to our mission of maintaining and expanding reliable service across the Wabash Valley region. You'll be responsible for on-site technical work that directly impacts our operations and customer satisfaction. This position requires someone who can work independently in varied field conditions while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Core Duties

• Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of technical equipment at field locations
• Conduct system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Test equipment and systems to verify proper functionality and compliance with specifications
• Document all work completed, maintenance performed, and issues encountered in detailed field reports
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to schedule service visits and communicate project progress
• Maintain tools, equipment, and field vehicles in working order and ready for deployment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while working in field environments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred
• Proven experience in field engineering, maintenance, or similar technical service roles
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work orders accurately
• Physical capability to perform manual work and travel to multiple job sites regularly
• Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail in all work performed
