Legal Consultant – Anti Trust and Competition

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential multinational organization seeking a senior Legal Consultant specializing in antitrust and competition law. This is a regional role based in Singapore covering APAC markets, offering the opportunity to provide strategic legal oversight on complex corporate transactions and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Corporate Transactions

• Conduct antitrust due diligence reviews, examine transaction documents in virtual data rooms, and coordinate with international and local counsel across relevant jurisdictions on transaction structures
• Draft, review, and advise on antitrust issues in Share Purchase Agreements, term sheets, and key issues lists for strategic corporate transactions
• Assess pre-merger and post-closing filing requirements, risks, and timelines in collaboration with local counsel
• Provide antitrust support for corporate transactions and special projects as needed

Regulatory Engagement

• Formulate responses and legal arguments for inquiries and investigations from competition authorities across the region

Commercial Antitrust Compliance

• Research regional competition issues, analyze market practices, and develop legal positions and recommendations on commercial policies including exclusivity programs and incentive programs
• Assess legal risks associated with commercial initiatives and provide timely advice to relevant stakeholders

Internal Reporting and External Counsel Management

• Review, edit, and update regulatory write-ups, risk factor disclosures, and communication plans for executive committee memos
• Prepare for and attend executive committee meetings
• Coordinate and align legal strategies with external law firms to ensure consistent approaches across jurisdictions

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in antitrust and competition law
• Strong background covering merger control, regulatory investigations, and commercial advisory
• Comfortable operating as a dedicated in-house antitrust specialist, supported by external counsel
• Experience across Southeast Asia competition regimes is an advantage
• Experience in technology, fintech, or logistics sectors is an advantage
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different jurisdictions
