Technical Product Manager – AI Investing App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client building an AI-powered investment platform serving markets across Southeast Asia. This is a remote Technical Product Manager role for an experienced professional who can own a product vertical end-to-end—from strategy through technical delivery—in a regulated, high-stakes financial environment.

Our client operates across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth management, and trading. These products move real money. Reliability, regulatory compliance, and third-party financial integrations are fundamental to every product decision, not afterthoughts.

This role requires someone who understands that AI is a tool, not a solution. You'll need to know exactly where AI genuinely improves outcomes, where deterministic systems must retain control, and how to build products that are reliable, auditable, and trusted by users and regulators alike.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive critical trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Embed regulatory requirements into product design across KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing
• Apply AI where it demonstrably improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products that navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partnerships
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production launch
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers with the ability to review, challenge, and contribute meaningfully to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation frameworks, reliability testing, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration across distributed international teams
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-moving environment across multiple time zones

Nice to have:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
