About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential SaaS organization that builds ticketing solutions for performing arts venues and cultural institutions. They're seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join their distributed engineering team and lead complex technical initiatives on their real-time platform.
This is a full-time, fully remote position open to candidates located in California, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisiana, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut. Occasional travel or in-person meetups may be required, with potential future hybrid expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive large, complex projects from conception to delivery, partnering with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Write clean, maintainable code across the full stack with focus on security, scalability, and efficiency
- Lead technical discussions to architect solutions aligned with business objectives and long-term technical strategy
- Create comprehensive technical documentation including system architecture designs, API contracts, and technical roadmaps
- Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and architectural patterns
- Define and champion coding standards, best practices, and design principles across the organization
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system reliability issues
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, making informed recommendations on platform integration
- Serve as a technical mentor and force multiplier, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence
- Drive architectural discussions and contribute to strategic technical roadmaps
- Partner with Product teams to design features from concept through production, including observability and monitoring
- Lead initiatives to improve developer experience, CI/CD optimization, and infrastructure improvements
- Champion trunk-based development and feature flags over large, risky releases
- Lead incident response efforts and drive continuous improvement through incident reviews
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of full-stack software development in a SaaS or technology-driven environment
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
- Strong front-end experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong back-end/API experience with.NET Core
- Deep understanding of SQL databases and data modeling best practices
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Integration experience with third-party platforms (payments like Stripe, CRM, marketing, identity providers)
- DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, monitoring, and logging tools
- Passion for improving developer workflow through tooling automation and internal frameworks
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

Pay
This role offers a competitive compensation package. Our client provides a base salary range of $130,000–$150,000 annually (commensurate with experience), eligibility for annual performance-based bonuses, comprehensive health benefits with 100% premium coverage for employees and dependents, 401(k) plans, paid parental leave, learning and development reimbursement, generous PTO, and remote work flexibility.
