Overview
Our talent team is representing a confidential pharmaceutical organization seeking an experienced Medical Director/Study Physician to provide medical oversight for clinical trials focused on CD inflammation. This is a sponsor-dedicated, remote position based in the United Kingdom.
As a Study Physician, you will serve as the medical lead at the trial level, providing expert oversight from trial design through to clinical trial reporting. This is a core position within the trial team, and you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of medical quality and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical expertise and oversight throughout all phases of clinical trials, from Trial Design Outline to Clinical Trial Report
- Ensure timely preparation of high-quality clinical trial protocols while minimizing the need for protocol amendments
- Contribute to trial risk-based quality management by defining medically relevant data and ensuring related risks are integrated into quality and risk management plans
- Co-author Clinical Quality Monitoring plans in collaboration with the trial team
- Perform ongoing reviews of medical data throughout the trial lifecycle
- Serve as the primary medical resource for a dedicated sponsor client
- Support pharmacovigilance activities and safety monitoring as needed
What We're Looking For
- Physician (MD) trained in a clinical setting with a minimum of 4 years of active clinical practice experience
- Specialization in Pulmonology, Immunology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, or Emergency Medicine highly desirable
- Understanding of relevant regulations and guidance including ICH-GCP
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry or CRO settings in medical, project management, or global pharmacovigilance functions is desirable
- Medical monitoring experience is ideal
- Clinical development or clinical trials experience is an additional asset
- Experience with data visualization systems and IT platforms preferred
- Medical thesis completion is ideal but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams
