Women’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – New Jersey

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential telehealth organization focused on women's mental health. The Women's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will support a collaborative care team through regular consultations on an assigned caseload of patients.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits via telehealth for the short-term management of mental health conditions in the perinatal period and for individuals experiencing perimenopause
• Provide treatment recommendations for patients who may need more intensive or specialized mental health care
• Complete pre-conception medication consultation and psycho-education for individuals trying to conceive who are currently treated with psychotropic medications
• Perform asynchronous caseload consultations through review of clinical information prepared by the patient's care team and available medical records
• Complete documentation for case consultations and direct patient visits within 24 hours
• Work with care managers to oversee the status and population health of assigned patient caseload using a clinical registry to track patients and prioritize case review and treatment adjustment
• Provide the care team with educational support on diagnosing and managing behavioral health conditions
• Be available for occasional ad hoc telephone, email, or telehealth consultations for complex patients during normal working hours, with responses to email questions within two business days

What We're Looking For

• Licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner in New Jersey
• Able to practice independently without supervision in the state of licensure
• Active DEA license in New Jersey
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude
• Ability to quickly synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate effective and evidence-based clinical recommendations
• Experience or interest in perinatal or perimenopause mental health and collaborative care

Pay

This is a part-time 1099 contractor position, 5-20 hours per week. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
