E&I Supervisor

IOTA GROUP is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor for a contract position based in Nampula Province, Mozambique. This is your opportunity to lead technical operations and drive maintenance excellence in a dynamic operations and consulting environment.

About This Position

As E&I Supervisor at IOTA GROUP, you will oversee the electrical and instrumentation systems and teams that keep operations running effectively. You'll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership capabilities to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across all installations. This contract role places you at the centre of critical operational functions in Nampula Province, where your supervision, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence will make a measurable difference.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical and instrumentation technicians and maintenance staff
• Plan, schedule, and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, instruments, and related equipment to identify faults and optimise performance
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement corrective actions
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory
• Train and mentor team members on technical procedures and safety best practices
• Collaborate with operations teams to minimise downtime and maximise system efficiency
• Report on system performance and recommend improvements to senior management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor or in a similar technical supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate technical teams
• Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and scheduling
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in electrical engineering or instrumentation preferred
