Sr Interaction Designer

Join Intuitive as a Senior Interaction Designer in Sunnyvale, California, where you'll design intuitive, human-centered experiences for our medical technology solutions. This is a full-time position on our engineering team.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Senior Interaction Designer to lead the design of complex, mission-critical interfaces and systems. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and user experience, creating designs that make sophisticated technology accessible and efficient for our users. You'll partner with engineers, product managers, and researchers to understand user needs deeply and translate them into elegant interaction solutions that drive real impact.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and prototype interaction models, workflows, and user interfaces for complex systems
• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specifications for engineering teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Evaluate designs through iteration, incorporating feedback from users and teams
• Contribute to design systems, patterns, and best practices to scale quality across products
• Champion user-centered design principles within the organization

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional interaction design experience with a senior-level portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking
• Experience designing interfaces for complex, technical, or safety-critical systems
• Proficiency in prototyping tools and design software
• Strong foundation in user research and usability methodology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and user needs
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
