Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential hospitality organization in Frankfurt am Main seeking a Data Engineering Working Student. In this role, you will:
- Independently integrate new datasets into the data analytics architecture and transfer them sustainably into existing structures
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand data from a business perspective: where it originates, what it represents, and what matters most
- Clean, model, and test data pipelines while documenting transformations in a comprehensible manner
- Develop pipelines and analyses using Python and SQL (DuckDB) – AI-assisted tools are welcome, but full understanding of results is essential
- Present and explain your solutions to the team and take ownership of your code
What We're Looking For
- Strong willingness to learn and motivation to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics
- Readiness to take on responsibility early and drive tasks independently
- Basic understanding of programming logic (from studies, courses, or personal projects) – you don't need to be a perfect programmer
- Analytical thinking and the ambition to not only develop data but also shape its impact on business decisions
- Ability to validate AI-generated output, manually refine it when necessary, and explain it in your own words
- Fluency in German is required for stakeholder communication
