Senior Finance Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential creative agency with an international presence. Our client is scaling their operations and needs an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the finance function across multiple entities. This is a hands-on senior role with a clear path to Head of Finance as the organization continues to expand.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient day-to-day financial operations across international locations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analyses to support strategic business decisions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payment runs, reconciliations and liquidity planning
• Coordinate preparatory bookkeeping (Vorbereitende Buchhaltung), ensuring invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation are complete before submission to external accounting partners
• Work closely with external accounting firms across Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and Dubai to ensure smooth collaboration and timely financial processes
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities with external accountants and tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with German accounting, tax and statutory requirements while supporting finance processes internationally
• Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, profitability and business performance
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting and operational efficiency
• Help build and scale the finance function as the company grows

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling or financial management
• Strong understanding of German accounting, bookkeeping and financial regulations
• Experience with vorbereitender Buchhaltung, including invoice verification, purchase order management and coordination with external accountants
• Previous experience within a creative agency, marketing agency or professional services environment is a strong advantage
• Experience working with multiple international entities is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and a structured, hands-on approach
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• DATEV experience is an advantage
• Advanced Excel skills
• Fluent English is essential; German at professional working proficiency with solid understanding of German accounting terminology
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and international environment
