Role Overview

Home Instead seeks dedicated Care Assistants to deliver personalised home care services throughout the Lyminge area, including the villages of Etchinghill and Elham. As a Care Assistant, you'll support older adults and vulnerable individuals to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life within their familiar home environments. This role is fundamental to our mission of enabling people to age well and stay connected to their communities.

Your Responsibilities

• Support clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional support tailored to individual needs and dietary requirements
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment for service users
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing
• Assist with mobility and light household tasks as required
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding and data protection standards
• Work flexibly across scheduled shifts to meet care plan requirements

• Physical capability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
• Good time management and organisational skills
• References and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
