Tele-Cardiologist (1099 / PRN)

We're seeking experienced Tele-Cardiologists to provide virtual cardiovascular care to hospital and emergency department patients on a 1099/PRN basis. This remote position offers flexible scheduling while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes through innovative telemedicine platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct virtual cardiology care to patients in hospital and ED settings via telephone and video
• Conduct pro-active cardiology rounds including daily rounding, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disorders, and family discussions
• Review laboratory results, medications, imaging data, and prescribe appropriate treatment regimens
• Manage local hospital care protocols and institute early treatment to prevent clinical deterioration
• Collaborate with on-site multidisciplinary clinical teams to develop comprehensive care plans
• Communicate effectively with bedside teams and local physicians to provide real-time cardiology expertise
• Utilize EMR systems, patient records, vital signs, and decision support tools for high-quality care delivery
• Participate in quality initiatives and help align providers around clinical, patient experience, and operational goals
• Build and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff to ensure seamless virtual care delivery

What We're Looking For

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine or ECFMG certification
• Board Certification or Board-Eligibility in Cardiology (if not board certified at hire, must achieve certification within two years)
• Valid DEA Certificate and ability to obtain multiple state medical licenses
• Hospital or emergency department experience required
• ACLS Certification current
• Qualified to obtain local hospital privileges
• Demonstrated proficiency in cardiology clinical skills and critical thinking
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to mentor colleagues and build consensus
• Previous EMR experience and comfort with computer documentation and navigation
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment
• Reliable high-speed home internet connection
• Availability for 12-hour day and night shifts
