CIMA+ is seeking a System Administrator to manage and optimize our GitHub platform and DevSecOps infrastructure in a full-time, remote position. This role combines platform administration expertise with security-focused practices to support our technical teams based in Longueuil, Quebec, and beyond.
Role Overview
As our System Administrator for GitHub and DevSecOps, you'll ensure secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure that empowers our development teams. You'll design governance frameworks, oversee access controls, manage repository configurations, and champion security best practices across our entire development ecosystem—making you essential to our operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain our GitHub Enterprise platform, including user provisioning, organization structure, and team permissions
- Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards across repositories and DevSecOps workflows
- Monitor platform health, performance, and uptime; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting development teams
- Collaborate with development and security teams to design automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Manage disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning for critical systems
- Document processes, configurations, and runbooks to support incident response and team knowledge sharing
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation strategies
Who We're Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience administering GitHub Enterprise or similar version control platforms
- Strong foundation in DevOps principles, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline management
- Demonstrated expertise in system administration, Linux/Unix environments, and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Solid understanding of security concepts including identity management, encryption, and access control frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized workloads is advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
