Knit – Lead Product Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology client in their search for a Lead Product Manager to join their remote team. Our client has built an AI-native platform serving enterprise organizations, and they need an experienced product leader to own a meaningful product surface end-to-end while contributing to company-level strategic decisions.

This is a senior individual contributor role working alongside a strong engineering team, research professionals, and executive leadership. You'll ship in rapid cycles and operate as a force multiplier across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of a product surface from discovery through delivery and adoption, defining both the surface itself and executing against outcome-driven commitments
• Write clear specifications, prioritize ruthlessly, and partner closely with engineering teams to deliver meaningful customer and business impact
• Build direct customer intuition through consistent engagement with Fortune 1000 buyers and users, developing your own point of view on market direction
• Make AI-native product decisions including evaluation strategies, quality loops, failure-mode design, and determining when to trust models versus human judgment
• Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, research, and go-to-market teams, eliminating mid-stream changes and ensuring shared clarity on priorities
• Contribute strategic bets to roadmap planning backed by customer conviction, competitive insight, and business judgment that shapes what the company builds
• Help set communication standards across the product organization with exceptional clarity under compression

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 7+ years as a Product Manager with meaningful experience at a company known for strong product culture, where you learned from great leaders and operated with real autonomy
• 0→1 product experience taking something from zero to meaningful customer usage, ideally in an early-stage seed or Series A environment
• AI-native fluency: you've shipped LLM-based features in production and understand evaluations, hallucination management, latency/cost tradeoffs, and failure-mode design
• Active use of AI tools in your own PM work for drafting, prototyping, research, and design, with a developed point of view on how the PM role is evolving in an AI-native world
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clarity under compression
• Strong technical fluency to drive substantive conversations with senior engineers about architecture, tradeoffs, and constraints
• Strategic range beyond your own surface, with experience influencing roadmap direction and shaping organizational thinking backed by evidence

Nice to Have:

• Previous founder or first-PM experience at an early-stage startup
• Experience building tools for researchers or working in the market research industry
• Background operating as a senior IC in a flat, founder-led environment

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai will be determined based on your experience and qualifications. The client has indicated a range of $205,000 - $235,000 USD for this position depending on level and background.
