Community Manager, French Speaking (Contract)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential social media platform in their search for a French-speaking Community Manager on a contract basis. This remote role supports international growth initiatives by cultivating and scaling local communities in the French market. You'll work at the intersection of community operations, strategic growth, and cultural expertise to drive meaningful engagement and measurable business impact.

This is a contract engagement open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland, working remotely from anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the French market to identify user challenges, moderator needs, and growth opportunities
• Build and execute strategic plans to cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of volunteer moderators
• Design and implement conversion funnels to onboard power users and external creators, transforming them into active community leaders
• Iterate and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities and proposing bold initiatives
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to set KPIs and execute impactful community initiatives
• Communicate insights to optimize and improve international growth strategies
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development teams
• Drive aggressive goals and outcomes with obsessive attention to detail

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience
• Proven track record of community-led projects that have driven measurable business impact
• Deep knowledge and understanding of French culture, including current events, politics, customs, traditions, and language
• Nuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and internet culture specific to France
• Appreciation for the diverse cultural facets shaping contemporary French society
• Succinct and persuasive communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with internal teams, users, moderators, partners, and content creators
• Results-obsessed mindset with outstanding execution and high attention to detail
• Deep interest in developing and driving projects, framing issues, testing hypotheses, and iterating on process improvements
• Proficiency in both French and English (required)
