About the Role
As a Crossing Guard at Grande Park Elementary, you'll serve as a critical safety presence at a busy intersection, managing traffic flow and ensuring students can cross safely during peak school hours. Responsibilities
- Direct vehicle traffic and manage student crossing flow at the designated intersection zone
- Provide supervision during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal periods
- Communicate effectively with drivers, students, and school staff
- Enforce consistent safety protocols and standard traffic control procedures
- Remain alert and visible to reinforce safe crossing practices
- Adapt operations to weather and seasonal changes without compromising safety
- Document and report traffic hazards, violations, or safety concerns to administration
Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
- Strong observational and communication skills
