Senior Manager, Occupancy Optimization & Portfolio Program Management

Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Senior Manager, Occupancy Optimization & Portfolio Program Management in Princeton, Mercer County, to lead strategic initiatives that align our physical workspace and real estate portfolio with business objectives and operational efficiency.

The Opportunity

As Senior Manager of Occupancy Optimization & Portfolio Program Management, you will drive enterprise-wide initiatives to maximize the utility and cost-effectiveness of our real estate and workplace assets. This role combines strategic portfolio oversight with hands-on program management, positioning you to shape how Bristol Myers Squibb uses its facilities to support innovation, collaboration, and sustainable operations across our organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to optimize space utilization, occupancy rates, and real estate portfolio performance across owned and leased properties
• Manage cross-functional programs that align workplace solutions with business requirements, financial targets, and workforce needs
• Oversee portfolio planning cycles, including demand forecasting, site assessments, and capacity modeling to support growth and consolidation initiatives
• Lead data analysis and reporting on occupancy metrics, cost drivers, and performance benchmarks to inform leadership decision-making
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Facilities, and Human Resources to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements
• Direct vendor relationships and contract negotiations for real estate, facilities services, and related third-party agreements
• Champion sustainable workplace practices and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in real estate portfolio management, workplace strategy, facilities planning, or related operations disciplines
• Proven success managing large-scale programs with measurable business outcomes and cross-functional stakeholder alignment
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools
• Demonstrated expertise in space planning, cost optimization, and lease or property management
• Excellent communication and project management abilities in complex, matrix-driven environments
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Facility Management, or related field preferred
