About the Role
As a Manufacturing Technical Development Specialist at Bristol Myers Squibb, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement and advancement of our manufacturing capabilities. Working at the intersection of innovation and production, you'll develop and implement technical solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction
- Develop and document standard operating procedures and technical specifications for production lines
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with operations and engineering teams on solutions
- Support process validation, scale-up activities, and technology transfer initiatives
- Monitor manufacturing data and metrics to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in cross-functional projects to implement new equipment and methodologies
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and training materials for manufacturing staff
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance production capacity and product quality
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
- Strong foundational knowledge of pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing processes
- Experience with process optimization, equipment operation, or manufacturing troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Familiarity with quality systems, manufacturing documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
