The Opportunity

NW Recruiting Partners is recruiting for a Senior Facilities Technician to join a commercial real estate organization managing industrial and commercial properties across the region. This role offers the chance to take ownership of day-to-day facility operations, lead maintenance efforts, and ensure every property in the portfolio meets the highest operational and safety standards. You'll work in a hands-on environment where your expertise directly impacts tenant satisfaction and property performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily building maintenance activities across assigned properties, addressing preventive and corrective maintenance needs
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors, evaluating services, managing schedules, and ensuring quality workmanship
• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to identify issues before they escalate
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and capital improvements
• Respond promptly to tenant requests and maintenance emergencies, minimizing downtime
• Monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and replacement parts; order as needed
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company maintenance standards
• Train and mentor junior staff or contractors on facility procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior technician role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems
• Proven experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing contractor work
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and building code compliance
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to emergencies effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Trade certifications (such as EPA, HVAC, or electrician) a plus
