Position Summary

As an Associate Annual Giving Officer at Providence, you'll specialize in identifying high-capacity donors and building meaningful relationships that lead to significant contributions. Your work involves the complete fundraising cycle—from prospect identification through donor stewardship—while growing a portfolio of supporters committed to annual support at the $1,000+ level. This role is essential to Providence's ability to sustain its healthcare initiatives across Los Angeles County, bridging the gap between annual fund growth and major gifts development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Research and qualify prospective donors, assessing capacity and affinity for Providence's healthcare mission
• Develop personalized cultivation plans to engage donors through multiple touchpoints and communications
• Solicit donations through thoughtful conversations, written appeals, and donor events
• Prepare compelling proposals and case materials that connect donor interests to Providence's impact
• Steward existing donors through recognition, reporting, and relationship-building activities
• Maintain accurate donor records and track giving patterns using fundraising software
• Attend and represent Providence at donor events, cultivation activities, and community gatherings
• Monitor progress toward annual giving goals and adapt strategies to meet revenue targets

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience in annual giving, donor relations, or fundraising development
• Demonstrated ability to build authentic relationships with donors and stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with donor databases and fundraising software platforms
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to meet and exceed annual giving targets
• Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising practices and donor psychology
