Stocker – 2nd Shift

Join MDVA in Newport News, Newport News City as a Stocker on the 2nd Shift, supporting a century-old farmer-owned dairy cooperative dedicated to delivering fresh, local products to our communities. This is a full-time opportunity paying $17.50 per hour, where you'll play a hands-on role in our warehouse operations while maintaining our high standards for quality and care.

Position Summary

We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Stocker for our 2nd shift team. Working from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, you'll be responsible for receiving, organizing, and managing inventory in our fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is essential to ensuring our products are available, properly rotated, and ready for delivery to customers across the region. You'll work in a team-oriented setting where your contributions directly impact our ability to serve families with fresh dairy products.

Core Duties

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory to maintain accurate stock records
• Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas according to company standards and FIFO (first-in, first-out) rotation practices
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse environment
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as needed
• Monitor product freshness and report expiration dates or damaged items
• Load and unload delivery trucks and manage outbound shipments
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and arranging merchandise throughout each shift
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to meet operational needs

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule (4:00 PM–12:30 AM) consistently
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Reliability and a proven track record of punctuality
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to follow safety protocols and company procedures
• Basic math skills for inventory management
• Teamwork and communication skills in a warehouse setting
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
