About the Role

Providence is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our East Union facility in King County. In this full-time role, you'll assess, treat, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and clinical teams to optimize respiratory outcomes and support patient recovery.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patient respiratory status and recommend or initiate respiratory care treatments based on clinical assessment
• Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical ventilation systems and other respiratory therapy equipment
• Perform pulmonary function testing and interpret results to inform clinical care decisions
• Monitor patient vital signs and respiratory parameters, adjusting treatment protocols as indicated
• Administer medications and respiratory treatments using evidence-based techniques and safety standards
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions, equipment operation, and disease management strategies
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes with accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated respiratory care

What We're Looking For

• Current Respiratory Therapist license or certification (CRTT or RRT) valid in Washington State
• Demonstrated clinical experience in acute care, ICU, or hospital respiratory therapy settings
• Solid knowledge of pulmonary physiology, mechanical ventilation, and respiratory diseases
• Ability to assess critically ill patients and respond appropriately to respiratory changes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered care approach
• Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including prolonged standing and patient mobility assistance
• Professional commitment to continuing education and current respiratory therapy practices
