Safety Manager (Transportation)

Hallcon, a leading transportation and infrastructure services provider in South San Francisco, San Mateo County, is hiring a full-time Safety Manager (Transportation) to lead workplace safety initiatives across our multi-modal operations and integrated command centers.

Role Overview

As Safety Manager (Transportation) at Hallcon, you'll oversee safety compliance, risk management, and injury prevention across our transportation and logistics operations. This role is essential to protecting our teams and maintaining the operational excellence that technology companies, manufacturers, railroads, universities, corporate parks, hospitals, and public transportation networks depend on us to deliver.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and workplace safety protocols across all transportation operations
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations to identify hazards and prevent workplace injuries
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Train employees and operations teams on safety procedures, emergency response, and best practices
• Manage safety documentation, reporting, and metrics to track performance and identify improvement areas
• Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety into company culture and decision-making

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in transportation safety management or related safety roles
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and transportation industry safety standards
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and training abilities to influence safety culture across teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to operational sites as needed
