Cretex, a trusted partner to the medical device industry, seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our operations in Dassel, Meeker County. In this full-time role, you'll drive safety culture and regulatory compliance across our precision manufacturing facilities where we produce injection-molded components, laser-processed assemblies, stamped metal parts, and finished devices for leading OEMs.

About the Role

As EHS Specialist, you'll be the backbone of our commitment to employee safety, environmental stewardship, and operational compliance. You'll partner closely with production teams, management, and external regulatory bodies to build and maintain systems that protect our workforce while keeping operations running efficiently. Your expertise will shape how we approach occupational health, hazard prevention, and continuous safety improvement across all departments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and assessments of manufacturing areas, equipment, and processes to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Develop, deliver, and track employee safety training programs covering equipment operation, chemical handling, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain and manage compliance documentation, safety records, and regulatory filings required by OSHA and other governing bodies
  • Monitor and optimize workplace ergonomics, personal protective equipment (PPE), and environmental controls
  • Collaborate with management on safety goals, metrics, and improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in environmental health, occupational safety, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, GMP standards, and manufacturing safety best practices
  • Strong communication and training skills; ability to engage diverse teams
  • Experience with incident investigation, hazard analysis, and corrective action systems
  • Proficiency with safety management tools and documentation systems
  • Certification (ASP, CSP, or equivalent) is a plus
