Johnson Controls is hiring a full-time Pre-Construction Field Procurement Manager based in the US to serve as the procurement bridge between our branch operations and our network of trusted suppliers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building strong vendor partnerships and driving accurate, cost-effective project planning.
About the Role
As the Pre-Construction Field Procurement Manager, you will act as the primary procurement point of contact for your assigned branch office. Working hand-in-hand with our HVAC Controls Sales Organization, you'll translate project requirements into reliable installation cost models that set our teams up for success from the earliest stages of each engagement. The position is US-based and on-site (not remote), giving you close, day-to-day collaboration with the field offices you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the procurement relationship between your assigned branch office and Johnson Controls' supplier base.
- Partner directly with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization to scope materials, equipment, and installation needs.
- Build precise pre-construction cost models to support accurate project estimating and bidding.
- Coordinate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, availability, and dependable delivery timelines.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on sourcing strategy throughout the pre-construction phase.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within construction, HVAC, or building systems.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal sales teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to develop and interpret installation cost models and project estimates.
- Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation capabilities.
- A proactive, dynamic approach to managing competing priorities across multiple projects.
- Eligibility to work full-time, on-site within the US.
