The Opportunity

As a Kitchen Designer at Home Depot, you'll be at the intersection of customer dreams and practical design solutions. You'll work directly with homeowners to understand their vision, preferences, and budget—then bring it all together with expert guidance, thoughtful recommendations, and professional design support that exceeds expectations.

Your Responsibilities

• Welcome and build rapport with customers, learning about their kitchen and bath remodeling goals and constraints
• Walk customers through each phase of their design project, presenting carefully selected product options at varying price points
• Share knowledgeable insights about cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and installation methods tailored to each customer's priorities
• Use design software and showroom displays to help customers envision their completed kitchen or bath
• Prepare materials and design options for customers to bring home and review at their own pace
• Coordinate with installation teams and follow up to ensure every customer's project meets their expectations
• Maintain strong product knowledge and stay informed about the latest designs, features, and installation best practices

Who We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in kitchen and bath design, retail design consultation, or a comparable customer-focused design role
• Excellent listening and communication abilities—you ask thoughtful questions and explain ideas clearly
• Comfort using design software and digital tools; ready to master our systems quickly
• Knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and installation, or a strong aptitude for learning these areas rapidly
• Skill in balancing customer desires with practical considerations and business objectives
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to support retail operations
