Role Overview
This is a full-time position with a growing animal nutrition producer specializing in vitamin and trace mineral (VTM) compounds. The Assistant Feed Mill Manager will oversee daily operations of the compound production facility, manage a dedicated team, and gain comprehensive management experience to advance into a senior leadership position. This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to build expertise in feed mill operations while supporting an experienced manager during a planned leadership transition.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with industry standards for VTM compounds
- Manage inventory, scheduling, and production workflow for monogastric and ruminant nutrition products
- Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues
- Support budgeting, cost control, and efficiency improvements
- Participate in management training and development to prepare for advancement
Requirements
- Experience in feed mill operations, animal nutrition, or related manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn VTM compound production processes
- Ability to work in a hands-on production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
