Join the University of Washington's Emergency Department Registration team as a Patient Services Specialist 2 in International, King County. This full-time night shift position supports the critical operations of UW Medical Center-Montlake's ED with essential patient registration and administrative services.

Position Summary

This full-time Patient Services Specialist 2 role is based at UW Medical Center-Montlake's Emergency Department Registration Department. You'll work a night shift schedule of Thursday through Sunday, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, providing 40 hours per week of dedicated support to ensure smooth patient intake and registration processes during high-volume evening and overnight hours. This position is critical to patient flow and departmental efficiency in one of the region's leading medical centers.

What You'll Do

• Schedule clinic appointments and coordinate patient visit arrangements
• Process laboratory requests and specimen handling to support clinical workflows
• Perform clerical and administrative duties that support ED operations
• Register patients accurately and efficiently during night shift hours
• Maintain organized records and documentation to support care delivery
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve patient needs
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide service-oriented support

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in patient services, healthcare administration, or related customer-facing healthcare role
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical terminology
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Willingness to work night shift hours (Thursday–Sunday, 8:30 PM–7:00 AM)
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in patient records
