Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll be an integral part of our hydrovac crew. As a Hydrovac Swamper, you'll work directly with experienced technicians to execute hydro excavation projects across utilities, construction, and environmental sectors. You'll gain practical experience with industry-leading hydrovac trucks and technology while supporting projects from planning through completion.
What You'll Do
- Assist hydrovac operators during active excavation and utility location work
- Prepare and secure job sites, coordinating logistics with clients
- Support equipment setup, operational monitoring, and site restoration
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of hydrovac trucks and tools
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Help coordinate project timelines and support site assessments
Who We're Looking For
- Physical capability to perform demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Safety-first mindset with respect for industry regulations and OSHA standards
- Mechanical curiosity and eagerness to learn hydrovac systems
- Reliable, on-time, and collaborative approach to teamwork
- Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred
- High school diploma or GED
