Maintenance Technician

United Rentals is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lonsdale, Knox County. In this full-time role, you'll maintain and repair our fleet of rental equipment, ensuring equipment reliability and safety for our customers across the region.

About This Position

As a Maintenance Technician with United Rentals, you'll work under supervision to keep our mobile storage and rental equipment fleet in excellent working condition. This position is central to our operations—the equipment you maintain directly supports customers in construction, events, and business solutions. You'll develop technical expertise across a variety of equipment types and build a career with the world's largest equipment rental provider.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rental fleet equipment, including mobile storage containers, ground-level offices, office trailers, and modular units
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and execute repairs to restore equipment to service-ready condition
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment meets operational and compliance standards
• Document maintenance activities, repair work, and equipment status in company systems
• Prioritize work based on supervisory direction and fleet availability requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow all safety protocols
