This is an exciting full-time opportunity designed specifically for high school students eager to gain hands-on experience in career and technical education and explore pathways in skilled trades and technology fields.
About the Role
This Career and Technical Education (CTE) internship program with Richland County School District One offers high school students the chance to engage directly with industry-relevant skills and career exploration. As a CTE Student Intern, you'll work full-time during the program, Monday through Friday, in our Career and Technology Education department, gaining real-world exposure to technical fields and understanding the breadth of opportunities available in career and technical education. Work hours per week will be determined based on program needs.
What You'll Do
- Participate in hands-on projects and activities within the Career and Technology Education program
- Gain exposure to various technical fields and career pathways available in CTE
- Work alongside educators and professionals in career and technical education
- Develop practical skills relevant to your chosen technical focus area
- Explore career opportunities and build foundational knowledge for post-secondary planning
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled high school student
- Genuine interest in career and technical education pathways
- Willingness to learn and engage in hands-on technical work
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday
- Strong attendance and commitment to the internship program
