About the Role
Our clients in electric power generation are systematically modernizing aging control infrastructure with state-of-the-art digital systems. Your expertise in instrumentation and controls will directly impact critical safety and operational systems across nuclear power plant facilities. You'll take ownership of major engineering projects focused on control system upgrades, modifications, and the integration of new digital technologies into established nuclear environments.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement digital control system upgrades for nuclear power plant operations
- Develop specifications for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and DCS (Distributed Control System) implementations
- Engineer touchscreen interfaces and operator control stations for process monitoring and management
- Lead technical evaluations and recommendations for control system replacements
- Coordinate with clients, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery
- Apply instrumentation best practices to nuclear-grade applications and compliance requirements
- Document design decisions, system configurations, and operational procedures
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, preferably in power generation or nuclear environments
- Demonstrated expertise with PLC, DCS, and digital control system platforms
- Strong background in process control systems and automation technologies
- Understanding of nuclear industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Experience leading or managing complex engineering projects
