Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

About the Role

As a COTA with Eden Senior Care in Milwaukee, you'll work alongside our occupational therapy teams to help clients regain independence through therapeutic activities and interventions. This is a full-time position at one of our skilled nursing or rehabilitation communities in the Milwaukee area.

What You'll Do

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence
• Guide clients through therapeutic exercises, adaptive activities, and skill-building sessions tailored to their recovery or maintenance goals
• Document patient progress, observations, and responses to therapy in electronic health records
• Assist occupational therapists with assessments, activity adaptation, and environmental modifications
• Support clients in Milwaukee's skilled nursing or assisted living settings with compassion and professionalism
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, client-centered care
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and state occupational therapy regulations

What We're Looking For

• Current COTA certification and state licensure (Wisconsin or equivalent valid licensure)
• Associate degree in occupational therapy or completion of an accredited COTA program
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
• Experience working with seniors, rehabilitation patients, or healthcare clients (preferred)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Physical capability to assist and support clients safely
• Commitment to patient dignity, independence, and therapeutic outcomes
