Ready Mix Driver, Nedrow, NY – Class A/B

Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Full-Time Ready Mix Driver based in Parish, Oswego County to deliver concrete and operate state-of-the-art ready-mix trucks throughout Central New York and the surrounding region. This is a hands-on position where you'll combine expert vehicle operation with customer-focused service, working for a leader in construction materials with 450+ North American locations and a team of 9,000 professionals dedicated to building sustainable infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Ready Mix Driver, you'll operate specialized ready-mix concrete delivery trucks, ensuring timely arrivals at job sites while maintaining load integrity and product quality. You'll manage customer interactions, coordinate with dispatchers, and take responsibility for equipment care and safe operation in compliance with all DOT and safety regulations.

What You'll Do

• Operate Class A or B commercial vehicles equipped with rotating drum mixers on local and regional routes
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites, residential projects, and commercial developments
• Adjust mixer speed and drum rotation to maintain concrete consistency during transport
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
• Communicate professionally with customers, construction crews, and dispatch to ensure on-time delivery
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company procedures
• Keep the truck and equipment clean and properly maintained between shifts

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL (Class A or Class B) in New York State
• Reliable driving history and ability to pass a background check and DOT medical examination
• Experience operating commercial vehicles and ready-mix trucks (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to zero-incident operations
• Ability to work full-time hours including early mornings and occasional flexibility
• Professional communication skills and a customer-first attitude
