Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Supervisor – ER

Tenet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Shift Supervisor in our Emergency Department in Schertz, Guadalupe County. In this full-time leadership role, you'll provide clinical supervision, coordinate patient care flow, and support your team while delivering exceptional emergency care to our community. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

About the Role

As an ER Shift Supervisor, you'll function as part of the clinical leadership team, overseeing nursing operations during your shift. You'll manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring smooth workflow and optimal unit staffing. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes and staff performance in a high-intensity environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing staff on your assigned shift
• Coordinate and assign patient care activities across the emergency department
• Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain effective unit flow
• Work with the Director and Clinical Manager to coordinate staffing for upcoming shifts
• Monitor clinical quality and ensure compliance with policies and standards
• Respond to patient and staff needs while maintaining a safe, professional environment

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in Texas
• Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency or acute care setting
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work shifts and adapt to the dynamic pace of emergency care
• Commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes
