Role Overview

This is your opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership position at our Chattanooga bakery location. As a Shift Lead, you'll manage our team during busy service periods, keeping operations smooth and customers delighted. Your role blends direct customer engagement with crew supervision—you're not just managing from the sidelines, but actively involved in the rhythm of our kitchen and front-of-house operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate your shift team to deliver consistent quality and exceptional service
• Anticipate customer demand and adjust staffing and workflow to match business volume
• Build customer orders with precision while modeling excellent suggestive selling techniques
• Operate baking equipment and oversee product preparation to maintain our quality standards
• Engage warmly with customers, answer questions, and turn one-time visitors into regulars
• Ensure compliance with food safety, cash handling, and store cleanliness protocols during your shift
• Communicate effectively with management about team performance, inventory needs, and operational challenges

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a customer-facing leadership, supervisory, or crew-lead role
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills to guide and support teammates
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed
• Physical capability to stand, move, and lift regularly during 4–8 hour shifts
• Passion for baking, food quality, and creating memorable customer experiences
• Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic math for cash reconciliation
• A positive attitude and genuine interest in growing your leadership skills in the food industry
