About the Role
As Associate Director/Director of Industrial Acquisitions, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and closing acquisitions that align with corporate strategy and financial objectives. You'll own the complete acquisition lifecycle—from market research and prospect identification through due diligence, negotiation, and integration execution. This position offers significant influence over the company's growth trajectory and the chance to build and lead a specialized acquisitions function.
What You'll Do
- Identify, screen, and analyze potential industrial acquisition targets and partnership opportunities
- Conduct comprehensive financial and operational due diligence on prospective deals
- Develop financial models and acquisition business cases to support investment decisions
- Lead negotiations with sellers, advisors, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable terms
- Manage deal documentation, regulatory compliance, and closing logistics
- Plan and oversee post-acquisition integration to realize synergies and operational improvements
- Build and maintain industry relationships, market intelligence, and acquisition pipeline
- Collaborate with executive leadership and internal departments to align acquisitions with strategic goals
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, acquisitions, or industrial investment
- Proven track record of identifying, closing, and integrating successful acquisitions
- Strong financial analysis, valuation, and modeling skills
- Excellent negotiation and deal management capabilities
- Deep knowledge of industrial markets, manufacturing, or related sectors
- Leadership ability and comfort building scalable processes from the ground up
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
